A new program called SERC (Sustainable Energy Resources for Consumers) provides homeowners with the most advanced energy efficiency and renewable energy systems available.Â We are featuring technologies that perform well in cold climates and also lower heating bills.Â Owner-occupied homes in Grand Forks, Nelson, Pembina and Walsh counties are eligible for SERC.Â There will be a focus on the near north side and near south side neighborhoods in Grand Forks.
Income limits for Grand Forks residents are as follows: Income up to $35,750 for a household of one; $40,850 for a household of two; $45,950 for a household of three; $51,050 for a household of four; $55,150 for a household of ï¬ve.
Red River Valley Community Action Agency, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people improve their lives, has over 35 years of experience weatherizing homes.Â We installed some of the first solar panels in the region.Â RRVCA also operates the HomeCents home improvement and rehabilitation program which offers low-to-no interest loans for home repairs in targeted areas of Grand Forks (including the Near North Side and Near South Side).Â HomeCents loans can be combined with SERC projects to offer maximum benefit.
